This is an 11 minute film of our first bed-push when we symbolically escaped Cygnet private hospital in Wyke and travelled by bed 36 miles across the Pennines, in pajamas to Manchester.  We were chased all the way by a giant syringe.  In Manchester we met up with the Kissit (see ) protesters to demonstrate against the practice of forcing medication on people in psychiatric institutions, which we feel is generally unnecessary and a violent asssault. We got lots of support from the public and were covered by 7 local and national newspapers and several local and national radio programmes.  It was good fun and got a serious message out there that psychiatry needs to start treating people with dignity and respect.
